1. Taming a beast:
- To tame a beast, a beastmaster must roll under or equal to their charisma on 2d6, after adding the beast's tame modifier to the roll. For example, I want to tame a squirrel (tm 3), and my charisma is 8. I roll a 5, and add the 3, giving me 8. This is equal to my charisma, so I tame the squirrel.
2. General Rules:
- A beastmaster is assumed to be able to communicate intrinsically with their beast, and as such controls their actions, and knows all they know.
- Beasts do not suffer the usual -3 unarmed bonus - they have natural weapons.
- A beastmaster may only have a limited number of 'active' beasts. A level 1-3 beastmaster may only have one class one beast active. A level 4-6 beastmaster, however, may have beasts whose class numbers add up to 2 (i.e. one class 2 beast or two class 1s). This 'active beast number' goes up by 1 every third level. For example, a level 21 beastmaster could have a class four and a class 3 beast active at the same time!
